About Flying Rice

Flying Rice is a welcoming Asian restaurant that brings together the ease of casual dining and the comfort of familiar, satisfying food. It is the kind of place that suits many different occasions, whether someone is stopping in for a quick lunch, meeting friends for dinner, grabbing takeout on a busy day, or settling in for a more relaxed meal with family or a group. The atmosphere is casual, current, and lively, which makes it appealing to a wide range of guests, including college students, families, and anyone looking for food that feels approachable without being ordinary.

One of the most appealing qualities of Flying Rice is its versatility. Guests can choose from dine-in service, delivery, takeout, or onsite options, which makes it easy to enjoy the food in whatever setting fits the moment. Some visitors may prefer a fast bite during a short break, while others may want to stay longer and enjoy a full meal with conversation and a comfortable seat. The experience works well for solo dining as much as it does for groups, and the setting is flexible enough to accommodate brunch, lunch, and dinner throughout the day.

The menu style suggests a broad appeal, with options that can satisfy different tastes and dietary preferences. Comfort food remains central, but there are also healthy options, vegan choices, vegetarian dishes, small plates, and quick bites for those who want something lighter or more varied. This balance is especially important for modern diners who want both flavor and convenience. A place that can offer hearty dishes alongside lighter selections often becomes a dependable choice for repeat visits, because it gives people room to return and try something new each time.

Flying Rice also stands out for its welcoming and practical features. Outdoor seating adds an open-air option for guests who enjoy dining outside, while Wi-Fi and a casual environment make it easier for people to linger, work, or meet up without pressure. The restaurant is designed to be accessible and inclusive, with wheelchair accessible entrance, parking, restroom, and seating, which supports a smoother experience for more guests. Families can feel at ease here as well, since it offers high chairs, a kids’ menu, and a setting that is good for kids. Dogs are allowed outside, which adds another layer of convenience for people who like to bring along their pets when the weather and circumstances allow.

Another strength of Flying Rice is how well it fits the rhythm of everyday life. With free parking options, accepted reservations, and multiple payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, the restaurant makes the logistics of dining simple. That ease matters, especially for customers who value places that feel straightforward and efficient. It is the kind of restaurant that can be part of a spontaneous outing or a planned meal, and the service model appears well suited to both.

The overall impression is of a restaurant that understands what many guests want today: good food, flexibility, comfort, and a space that feels easy to enjoy. Its popularity among different types of diners likely comes from that blend of convenience and substance. Whether someone is after a short visit or a longer meal, Flying Rice offers an inviting setting where the food, the pace, and the atmosphere work together naturally.

I just do pick up orders, it is good and healthy. It’s not overly oily, too much rice, or too much vegetables, but balanced. The flavors are balanced and that is what is needed. The pork belly is recommended for sure .

Took a Tofu Avocado Bowl to-go and it was probably the best bowl I have ever had. The rice is soft, the avocado was great, the tofu was diced into bite sized portions, the vegetables were fresh and I honestly enjoyed every last bit of it. Definitely a great alternative to Waba Grill, Chipotle, Flame Broiler! Tofu is a MUST try!

The two of us shared a pork belly rice bowl. It was great! $15 - not too bad. Portion size is generous for 1 person, but not quite enough for 2 people. Service was great! The girl at the register was very friendly and helpful.

This place reminds me of my hometown in San Dimas, you have all these stores and restaurants, and you may not know a great place like this exists! We just finished a check up for my kid in the area and wanted to try something new. After reading multiple yelp comments we decided to give this place a try togo. The lady that took my order on the phone was nice and made sure my questions were answered. Food So the food here reminds me of some other fusion places, but they make it quite tasty. We tried the bimbimbop and pork belly bowl and the Gogi Fries. The fries were ok, but I particularly liked both of the bowls. You get to choose brown or white rice and they both come with a good amount of Vegatables inside from bak choi to kale, while having very flavorful protein. The place was nice and clean, but isn’t that big so I wouldn’t recommend big parties to come in to eat. If I am in the area I would definitely stop by again! Until next time !

Vegan Tofu Bibimbap bowl, Beef Bibimbap, and KFC bowl were delicious. No. I did not eat all 3. I did get to taste them all though! The portions and big enough to share, inexpensive, and has great flavors. I really could have stopped eating 1/3 of the way, but it was sooo yummy πŸ˜‹
